Dorcan Old Boys Football Club are playing at Hooper's Field, Wanborough for the second season. The pitch is relatively easy to find but please find these instructions and a map to help you locate our facilities. Should you have any problems then please refer to our Introductory Document that was posted to every club secretary or contact either the club manager or secretary via the contact page on this website or use the mobile phone numbers listed in the Swindon Sunday Football League Official Handbook 2007/08

 

DORCAN OLD BOYS FOOTBALL CLUB would like to ask our visitors to show respect and consideration for other users of the Sports Pavilion and for local residents at all times and in particular when arriving and leaving the facility. Further to this could we please ask all guests to use the car park on the immediate left on arrival (opposite the bowling green) and DO NOT park directly in front of the changing room area and tennis courts, this parking is reserved for disabled drivers and is used regularly.

 

 

 

From Swindon:

At the Merlin Roundabout head toward Covingham/Merlin Way; proceed along Merlin Way and pass over the next mini-roundabout heading into Wanborough via the Wanborough Road (you are not through traffic so are entitled to use this road); pass over the M4 on the flyover and continue on until you are at a road-traffic-calming scheme; pass through this and you are now on Wanborough High Street; at the next mini-roundabout (just past the Brewers Arms public house) turn right into Rotten Row; proceed along Rotten Row approximately 175 meters and the entrance to the Hooper's Field Sports Pavilion is on your right; proceed carefully along the driveway and park your vehicle in the left hand car parking spaces. The pitch is directly behind the tennis courts.

 

From Junction 15, M4:

From Junction 15 head north along A419; after approximately a mile take the slip road off the A419 down to the Common Head Roundabout (Great Western Hospital exit) keep right and take the third exit heading toward Liddington (B4192 Purley Road); stay on this road passing through Liddington and back over the M4 via a flyover for approximately two miles; turn left heading toward Bishopstone and Hinton Parva; proceed along this road, passing over the M4 again and after approximately one mile turn left at the crossroads (the Shepherds Rest public house is on this crossroad) heading toward Wanborough; follow this road for two miles and once in the village High Street turn left at the first mini roundabout into Rotten Row; proceed along Rotten Row approximately 175 meters and the entrance to the Hooper's Field Sports Pavilion is on your right; proceed carefully along the driveway and park your vehicle in the left hand car parking spaces. The pitch is directly behind the tennis courts.
