6/10 - NUMPTY Personally I think Ben made numerous great saves particularly in the second half. The talk down the pub however was his preference to punch rather than catch the ball a sensible approach in my view given the conditions. No goalkeeper will be happy conceding five and he really must stop being such a nice bloke as sometimes bollockings need to be dished out. A harsh Numpty I would say when the game was such a credit to Sunday morning football. | 8/10 - The Gaffers MotM - Spent the first half covering every blade of grass against a strong Pinehurst midfield. Was simply first class in the second half when moved to centre half and shored up what was a very shaky defence in the first half. I will never talk him into becoming a centre half but I just wish he would see just how good he is there. Talking his wife into fancy dress for the DOB Christmas party - I will lay off the red wine that night.....I promise! |

8/10 - This was the Pete that we wanted making goal saving challenges and generally sticking his head in where people were putting their boots. Linked very well with Mase when he came on. If he lays off the sauce on a Saturday night this boy picks himself. Needs to realise that like Little I have a soft spot for him which means I'm harder on him due to Little and Hanrahan Senior running Dorcan in the halcyon days. A very good game. Did not pay subs though - pikey. | 7/10 - Looked worryingly short of fitness in the first half but as the game wore on he became more and more effective. In a game where we scored five he was surprisingly not on the score sheet a fact not lost on statto Strover in monitoring the goal charts. Showed flashes of his cockiness and will no doubt find the net next week. Did not pay subs though - pikey. |

6/10 - The Gaffer brought off the stalwart at half time owing to a shocking mistake for Pinehurst's second goal that seemed to knock the confidence out of one of the early pacesetters in the Player of the Year stakes. Rightly pointed out that this was the third time this season but the pace of their centre forward was causing problems for Sumner. No doubt he'll be excellent next week and this week he proved what a good linesman he is copying the Pinehurst cheating approach! | 8/10 - Anyone can see how much work and effort this player puts in - just check out the amount of sweat he lets off - almost as much as when eating White Hart's finest chilli. Another game where he weighed in with a goal but what pleased me most about this game was how much he put himself about and if you ask the Pinehurst defence they will tell you what a tricky and tough customer he is. Another good game. |

7/10 - Will tell you himself he thought he was at fault for their fifth goal but in fairness you have to give credit to their forward who nipped in with a well taken goal. Domm has the characteristics we all look for in a player - guts, passion and a never say die attitude. Eleven of this boy and the league would be wrapped up by Christmas. | Phil Corcoran - 9/10 - Man of the Match - A very good game and a lot of swagger in his play weighing in with two goals. Stuck the boot in when it mattered and what pleased me most is when he links up with Clayts down the right flank any defence has no chance. I say get your wife out every week as you always play well when Sarah and Fin are there. Top game, top bloke, quickly establishing himself as one half of a centre forward pairing to match Dalglish/Rush, Keegan/Toshack and Owen/Heskey, Davies/Channon. |

8/10 - I have to say he scored one of the best goals I've ever seen bringing the ball out of defence and collecting the return from a one-two with a thunderous rifling shot that cannoned of the goal stanchion to get some life out of his team mates. Also set up the all important fifth goal, the equaliser, with a great cross field free kick that Corks sent home. The one blot on his copybook was the first ten minutes when at fault for their opening goal and generally blaming everyone but himself. Not to worry, he was awesome after that. | 7/10 - I think I can say I scored a half decent tenty-five yarder from a free kick although granted the goalkeeper made it look good. Godwin rightly told me off for blowing kisses at my dad and the chairman! I am struggling to do any more than forty-five so Messers Little, Godwin and Jordan can breathe a sigh of relief. We badly missed Bert in the middle of the park I will admit as we were second best all game to their centre midfield pairing. |
